Heyworth Board of Education Vacancy

The Heyworth Community Unit School Board is currently seeking candidates to fill one open school board position. The position will be filled no later than June 20, 2025 and will continue until April 2027 Consolidated Election. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen of 18 years of age or older, without any financial or legal conflict of interest as defined by the Illinois School Code, and be a resident of the school district residing in one of the following township ranges:

  • 21N Range 1E

  • 21N Range 2E

  • 21N Range 3E

  • 22N Range 1E

  • 22N Range 3E

  • 23N Range 1E

  • 23N Range 2E

Board Members

  • School board members elected or appointed to their seat after June 13, 2011, are required to complete within the first year of their term a minimum of four hours of professional development leadership training covering topics in education and labor law, financial oversight and accountability, and fiduciary responsibilities of a board member.
